We are seeking a Technical Leader who can participate in architecture design, technical requirements definition, and engineering execution. This individual will be collaborating with Executive Leadership, Product Management, and Customers.Who You AreYou are an innovative software engineer interested in influencing the opinions and decision-making of senior executives and/or major customers on matters of significance to the organization. You are comfortable in design discussions with other architects and engineers. You can present architecture designs and solutions to multiple teams across organizations, gathering feedback that will help us drive consensus and gain alignment. You are not afraid to be creative, use innovative programming languages, technologies, and tools to drive groundbreaking new products.What You Will DoThe Technical Leader role works alongside our VP of Security Innovation to develop the data and control plane driving our next-generation security products. This position will help identify and solve obstacles to achieving our vision.In this role, you should expect to review existing technologies, identify areas to leverage and drive improvement, and create groundbreaking new technology from scratch. You will be part of a small team driving the next evolution of security at Cisco and beyond and must be a self-starter able to work under minimal direction.You will be looked to both internally and externally Cisco for your expertise, and as such must be deep experience in firewalls, secure web gateways, and/or SASE/SSE. You will use this knowledge coupled with your ambition to write high-quality, production-ready code to re-invent security with us.Required Experience:
BA/BS Degree and a minimum 5+ year’s professional experience in a software engineering role
5+ year’s in firewalls, secure web gateways, and/or SASE/SSE
3+ year’s in cloud computing and security
Desired Experience:
API development
Backend server programming (e.g. Golang, Node.JS)
Working as part of a remote or distributed team
